SKWAD September Inspiration
YUMMO
I didn't have the right papers to choose from, for Jules Inspiration Challenge this month, so I have done a straight out colour sketch, if there's such a thing, anyway that's what I called it. I just used the plain colours, that were in the photo of the challenge and added some flowers and bling to dress it up a bit.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race Stop 3
Mackenzie
For stop 3 of the Amazing Race, we are off to Antarctica and the criteria for this one is:-
1. White space
2. Cool colours
3. Texture
I've got plenty of white space even though it annoys me to have so much space. I'm one for filling the whole page with things. The colours I chose are cool and for texture I used crackle paint.
Feeling Sketchy Week 26
Nice View
This is the layout I did for the sketch this week. I've kept to the basic sketch and it fitted in quite nicely with the paper that I had chosen.

SKWAD September Sketch
a purrfect day
I did this layout for Jules sketch over at SKWAD. Everything is as per sketch with this one. Mackenzie went to Dreamworld for her birthday this year and patted the tiger cubs, before they got too big.

Feeling Sketchy Week 25
This is my card for Week 25. It is a triple side (don't know if that's the right description) because it opens out at the centre. The circle is only stuck on one side, hence the other side lifts and opens the card. I've kept to the original sketch, with probably a few minor changes. I can see the sketch, I just hope everyone else does.

Amazing Race Asia Challenge
For the Asia Challenge, we could choose either Japan, India or Russia and I chose Russia. The criteria for Russia is
1. A large title on the page
2. Use something long & horizontal eg. ribbon, paper strips, twine etc.
3. Use something one would find in a garden or park.
My title is large and I've used ribbon, paper, twine and ribbon mesh as my horizontal bits. As for things found in a park/garden, I've got flowers, a tree, leaves, birds, butterfly and a ladybird.
Amazing Race Detour 1
Isla's Kindy
Our first detour challenge on The Amazing Race, is to create a layout with either a postage stamp, envelop or hidden journalling. My blue paper has a postage stamp in the top left corner and I made an envelop to put my name tag, from Grandfriends Day, inside. I have covered all three.

FWAB September 2012
Memorable
FWAB's challenge this month is to add a memory file/storage pocket to the layout. Well this is mine. My storage pocket is just above the photo, and I named it "secret stuff ".I used the new Silver Elise flourish on this on, which I think just went well with the colours in Isla's jacket.

Scrapbook Boutique Challenge
Scrapbook Boutique have a new challenge this month and it's buttons, buttons & buttons. I've got 10 buttons on this card, don't think I've used that many in one project before. I've used 3 gold buttons with pearl centres, they're so nice. There are 7 flower buttons and I have covered the holes with rhinestones. They also have a bloghop going on, check it out.

Feeling Sketchy Week 24
This is my card for Feeling Sketchy's sketch this week. I did a boy's card and kept it quite simple and not a flower in sight. I turned the image and made it longer but everything else is per sketch.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race Stop 1
A Happy Little Vegemite
Our first stop in the Amazing Race is Australia. We had to do a layout using the following criteria:-
1. Aussie Slang - mine is in the title A Happy Little Vegemite or even in the journalling where I said he usually gets it from head to toe.
2. An Aussie Image - well I have the flag, a kookaburra, gum leaves and I even cut the vegemite logo off the label.
3. Border Punch or Scallops - I just put a scallop strip at the side.
My 2 Angels September Challenge
Boy's Day Out
My 2 Angels challenge this month is Black & White and one other colour. I decided to do this photo of my son and grandson, so I chose blue. I kept it fairly simple and used some of 2 Angels embellishments.
So Cold
So Cold
I did this layout for a sketch over at Scrapville for August/September. It's a bit hard to read the journalling around the photo, but it reads, "It was so cold in Toowoomba this night, the girls had their coat and scarf on, which is a rarity for them."
