                                                               Say Cheese
I did this one for Jules December Sketch Challenge over at Scrapbook Kits With A Difference. It's only taken me about 3 weeks to do. I did a bit before Christmas and did bits and pieces  since. Anyway it's done now.

Challenge Heaven December Competition Day 3

                                                            Happy Hunting
With this one we had to have a small title down the right side of the page, journalling is to be about what tradition we have and what that means to us and the journalling had to be all around the edge of the page.
We don't have a lot of traditions and the only one I could think of was having as Easter egg hunt for the girls each year and sprinkling powder about so the girls could see that the Easter Bunny had been by the paw prints in the powder. It's good to have traditions like this because it's good for the kids to believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa and the Tooth Fairy, and that's what I have written around the edge of the page.

Challenge Heaven December Challenge Day 2

                                                             Lucky Little Boy
The 2nd challenge had a list of things we had to include on the page. I just hope that I have interpretted it properly. We had to use a stamp or rub-on, the word Joy or Christmas, red/green, ribbon or fabric and an envelop or journal card.

Challenge Heaven December Daily Competition Day 1

                                                        What A Girl
Challenge Heaven are having a December Daily challenge competition. There are weekly prizes and an overall prize at the end. The first challenge was a sketch and this is my effort.

Jules Inspiration Challenge November

                                                              Dubbo Zoo
We had to do a layout  using mainly Autumn colours. It was quite hard to put together, so I grabbed the first photo I could find and this was it. This is Tony, when we went to Dubbo Zoo in September 2010 and I think it fitted in ok with the colours.

Flourish With A Bling Xmas Colour Challenge

                                                       Joy Peace Love Hope
Flourish With A Bling are having a Christmas colour challenge this month with the usual colours and we have to add a neutral colour. We also have to use FWAB products, which I have with the flourish. It is the only one I have that looked any good on the challenge even though it's not the right colour for the layout.

Global Scrappers November Shetch

                                                                So Unique
This is a sketch at Global Scrappers. I didn't like it when I first finished it but as time went on, it sort of grew on me and I don't mind it at all now.

Angie's November Sketch

                                                                     My Boys
I did this layout for Angie's sketch over at scrapnart. It was from a sketch and we had to stick to the colours stipulated, black, white, orange, yellow and grey. I think I have covered all the requirements.

Amanda's Shabby Baby Challenge (Born2create)

                                                               8 months
This is my attempt at a baby shabby layout. I'm not very good at doing shabby, so I just kept putting things on and I think it turned out ok.

Scrapnart October sketch

                                                   who's walking who
I did this layout for Angies October sketch. I didn't read the instructions properly at first, to think of the colours used so I had to rethink my plans and this is what I came up with. I'm happy with the finished layout.

                                                    lovely lovely lovely
This is my layout for Dizzy Izzy's October sketch on facebook. I tried to use up some of my scraps and I think it turned out quite well. Hopefully my friends will like it as the one with the most likes/views will be the winner at the end of the month.

scrapwithv October inspiration challenge

                                                      Digging For Yabbies
This is my attempt at the inspiration challenge for October. I tried to stick to the colour scheme but it wasn't easy. I found it really hard to put the colours together. I wanted to use this photo of the girls and their granddad digging for yabbies, when they stayed with us. Mackenzie wanted to go fishing so we took them to the beach to dig for yabbies and Kenz and granddad caught a nice flathead out in the gutters.

scrapwithv October sketch

                                                     School Photo
I did this layout for scrapwithv's October sketch. It turned out pretty good. I used portrait photos instead of the landscape views as in the sketch, so I did a bit of filling in with the flourish and the vines and I'm happy with it.

scrapwithv Inspiration Challenge Sept 2011

                                                  Sunshine, Lolipops and Rainbow
This is my effort for the inspiration challenge over at scrapwithv. We were to draw inspiration from a picture of plates on and this is what I came up with, lots of circles. The title is from a song but I only had 1 rainbow so I made it singular instead of plural, with an s.

scrapwithv September 1st sketch challenge

                                                                    Mr Maker
This is my layout for the September 1st sketch at scrapwithv. I didn't think I would have time to do any layouts this month as I'm sharing the babysitting of my 3 granddaughters with their other grandma while the parents are off overseas having a good time. I rushed to get this done last night before I pick the girls up, and I'm quite happy with the result.

Angie's September Sketch

                                                                    Kindy 2011

I did this layout for Angie's September Sketch. I've kept to the sketch but have made it a bit bigger than the original and I think it turned out pretty good.

Southern Girls Anniversary Blog Hop

                                                                Waiting for Santa
This is what I did for the Southern Girls blog hop anniversary. We had to do a  card/layout with layering. I used all circles layered on each other. Even though it's a christmas theme I didn't used christmas papers and it still came out ok.

Challenge Heaven Sketch August 2011

This is one I did for Challenge Heaven's sketch challenge. It's the only 5x7 photo I could find and it originally came out of a frame. It is Darren and Kirsten and was taken when Darren was home on leave from the Navy. I can't even think when it was taken, probably in 1997 or 1998.

Crafty Sketches August 2011

                                                          Aussie Aussie Aussie
I did this layout for Crafty sketches. I didn't quite like it when I was putting it together but I think the colours go well together and I'm reasonably happy with it.

Scrap With V August 15th Sketch

A Great Day
This is my effort for the August Sketch over at scrapwithv I'm quite happy with the colours I chose and I enjoyed doing the layout.

Eye Candy Magic August

                                                                  2 Roses
I have attempted this layout for Sam's August Challenge over at Eye Candy Magic. The challenge is masking which I really don't have a clue on. I've used chalk on this one and the roses are, I HOPE! HOPE! HOPE! masked.

Dizzy Izzy Sketch Competition

happy holidays
I did this layout for a sketch competition to celebrate the launch of Dizzy Izzy on Facebook. When  I receive a confirmation email, I have to tag myself in the layout and then people can vote by hitting like
and the layout with the most votes as at 28th August will win. I'm not very savvy over at facebook so I hope I'll know what to do.

Scrap With V August 1st Sketch

Good things come in 3's
This is my layout for Jules August 1st sketch over at scrapwithv. I've kept to the sketch but turned mine around. I had some trouble picking out colours but I think it turned out OK.

the outdoors

This is for the July sketch
I kept it pretty basic and it looks pretty good.

I did this layout for Sams July challenge over at
we had to use purple and green and could add a black and white.
they are not easy colours to work with, but I'm quite happy with how this came out.

Magnolia Down Under #103

The Joy Of Discovery

I did this layout for Vanessa's June 15th Sketch on scrapwithv. I don't often use my lined paper as a base but I decided to give it a go with this one and it came out pretty good.

Wonder Boy

I'm happy with this layout. It's nice and bright and I did this one for Anna's Craft Cupboard. They have a sketch challenge for June. This is my grandson, Caleb, with his Superstar Certificate from kindy.

MMMM So Cool

I usually try and use bright colours, but for this one I did the opposite. This layout is for Flourish With A Bling's June/July challenge. It's a sketch this month, and the pearls are all FWAB.

Run Like The Wind

I did this layout for Sam's Blue Skies challenge on Eye Candy Magic. We could interpret it anyway we liked. I have used a photo of the girls playing, plenty of blue sky and all the things you would likely see on a beautiful day. I've also used the Emerald Faerie, Isla, flying her little kite.

Life Is Beautiful

This is my layout for Scrapwithv's June sketch. I've kept to the sketch but I think I went overboard with the black ink, nevermind I'm happy with it.
I forgot to say that I turned mine on the side.

The Rabbettes

Add caption
I did the layout for May 15th sketch at I called it the Rabbettes. I'm not sure if it's even a word but that's all I could think of at the time.

We stick together

I'm on a roll here. This is the last one I did for Challenge Heaven. It's the colour challenge - chocolate brown, soft pink and 1 colour of choice. Small B & W can be used and some stamping.

Future Star

This is my 3rd challenge for Challenge Heaven for May. It's the Ebony & Ivory one. We had to use either black or white with lime green and 2 kinds of alphas.

She's Got The Look Of An Angel

This is another one for Challenge Heaven. It's a quote "She/He's Got The Look". I used that title for a layout I did in April, so I just added a few more words to the title and still kept the quote. I made a shipping tag which was the other criteria.

Mister Spaceman

This is a layout I did for Challenge Heavens May sketch. I tried to keep to the space theme so I made all the embellies to suit the photo.

Thursday, 12 May 2011

She's A Champion have a colour challenge for May, using teal, black and white, and we have to use flourish with a bling products. I've kept to the three colours and the black and teal pearls are f w a b.

Friends For Life

I did this for the Southern Girls all things girly. Even though I used black, I've tried to keep it girly with the other colours.

Anything goes card

This is my attempt at an anything goes card for Deb's new faeries site. They never turn out how I envision them but never mind, I might get better with practice.

My Angel

I did this layout for Vanessa's May Sketch on scrapwithv. I do like how it's all turned out.
It's a photo of Kirsten. taken at kindy in Gladstone in 1983.

My Best Friend

This was for a challenge Amanda set on Born2create. It is about friendship, have some lace and flowers. I had to search to find a photo with me in it, usually I'm behind the camera and not in the photos. This was taken when Isla was a baby. I've kept it quite simple and I'm reasonable happy with it.

Sweet Dreams

I'm quite happy with this one. The colours came out quite nice. This is for Vanessa's mid month sketch challenge (April). It was the only 5x7 photo that I had in the house.

Woohoo I Got Goggles

I did this layout for scrapwithv's April Sketch Challenge. I'm not happy with it as it just didn't come out as I had planned. Anyway it's done.

Happy Mothers Day

A card I did for Debs Mothers Day Faerie release.
I used my my new Mia & Willy stamp, cut it in half
and then when the card closes at the centre, the
lovely little faeries kiss. I will be giving this to my
