Scrapbooking Top 50 Colour Challenge December
HO HO HO
This is for the colour challenge at Top 50 this month. We had to do a Christmas layout and chose a colour combo from
Aqua, Red, White
Pink, Aqua, Silver
Red, Green, White
Red, White, Gold
I chose the red, white and gold one. It's only taken me the whole month to do but at least it's done.

Scrapbook Boutique Challenge & Blog Hop
Scrapbook Boutique have a blog hop and challenge this month. I did the hop, and the ladies created some amazing projects. They have given me some great ideas to try myself and the challenge is an inspiration one with the colours red, green and white, so I did this Christmas card.
Feeling Sketchy Week 37
This is my card for this weeks sketch over at Feeling Sketchy. It's a better attempt at a Christmas card than the last one. The paper have a lot on it so I kept to the basic sketch.

Feeling Sketchy Week 36
This is my second attempt at this sketch. The first one was a Christmas card but I didn't like it, so I did this one instead.
FWAB Christmas Challenge
For FWAB this month we had to do a Christmas layout using non traditional colours. I chose mainly purple and blue with a few other colours and I used to Pink Puffy Flourish to finish it off. There was a tiny bit of the flourish left so I put it on the bird.

Emerald Faeries Challenge
The Emerald Faeries blog's challenge is do design an easel card. I decided to do it this fortnight and I'm giving to a friend who is having A Girl's Night In, for women's cancer. We are asked to donate something old to raffle, but I don't have anything old, so I said they can have the card, and it's mainly pink, so it goes with the theme, pink for breast cancer. I've left the sentiment blank, so whoever gets it can put their own sentiment there.

Charie's Christmas Card
I made this Christmas Card for Charie, my son's fiancee, I hope she likes it. I got the idea out of a scrapbooking magazine, so I stuck with the colours of red, white, black and gold and very little green.
The red snowflakes are stamped on, probably the most stamping I've done in ages. I think it turned out quite nice. Merry Christmas Charie to you and your family.

Feeling Sketchy Week 34
This is my card for this week's sketch. I decided it was time to make Christmas cards, and this is the first one.

Amazing Race Stop 8
This is the very last leg of the race and for this challenge we had to design a new banner for the Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia web site, with the words clearly visible. The main site is blue, so the colours had to go with that. I put in a few little Aussie things in, like the sun and the words surf and sun on the blue paper. It looks ok to me.
Amazing Race Detour 3
Having A Ball
This is the layout I did for this part of the journey. We got lost on our way from Africa, so for this detour, it was a layout using map paper or arrows to get us going in the right direction. I'm not particularly happy with how it came out, but it's done and in on time.

FWAB November Sketch
2 On A Train
FWAB have a sketch this month and this is my layout, it's a little blurry but it's not a good day to take photos. I've used the Pink Grace Flourish, some of the Teal Pearls and my favourite The Jack Vine.

Purple Pumpkin Sketch
I did this layout for Purple Pumpkin's November sketch. The buttons are all purple pumpkin products.
Feeling Sketchy Week 32
This is my card for this weeks sketch. It didn't photograph real clear but the basics are all there.
Dizzy Izzy Scrap Your Stash
Dizzy Izzy have a sketch this month and we have to use scraps, which I have done. It sounded easy but it was a lot more difficult to find scraps to go together.
Amazing Race Stop 7
This is my layout for stop 7 of the amazing race at Scrapbooking Top 50. This stop was Africa and the criteria is, fabric, happy photo and song lyrics for title/subtitle.
1. Fabric - the flowers and coloured scallops on the right are fabric.
2. Happy photo - speaks for itself
3. Song lyrics - Happiest Girl by Depeche Mode
Wednesday, 31 October 2012
Amazing Race Stop 6
For this leg of the journey we had Sth America and the countries of choice were Brazil, Peru and Colombia. I chose Colombia.
The criteria is
1. At least 1 doily - I have used 2
2. At least 1 bird related item - I've used 2 birds
3. A powdered medium - glitter was all I had so I just put some on the bird's wings. I don't like glitter because I always manage to get it everywhere.
Amazing Race Stop 5
For stop 5 we are in Europe and our choices are Holland, France and Italy. I chose Holland and the criteria is
1. Photo with more than 2 people
2. Orange (visible)
3. Include a pinwheel
Amazing Race Stop 4
Stop 4 is North America and our choices were Mainland America, Hawaii or Canada. I chose Mainland America and the criteria is
1. Red, White and Blue
2. Stars and Stripes
3. Doodling
I was late getting this one in because of computer problems so I only get 1 entry in the major draw instead of 2.

Amazing Race Detour 2
elles es tres belle
This is for the 2nd detour on Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race. For this one we had to use a foreign language title/subtitle. I called it elles es tres belle, which I hope translates to, they are beautiful.

SKWAD September Inspiration
YUMMO
I didn't have the right papers to choose from, for Jules Inspiration Challenge this month, so I have done a straight out colour sketch, if there's such a thing, anyway that's what I called it. I just used the plain colours, that were in the photo of the challenge and added some flowers and bling to dress it up a bit.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race Stop 3
Mackenzie
For stop 3 of the Amazing Race, we are off to Antarctica and the criteria for this one is:-
1. White space
2. Cool colours
3. Texture
I've got plenty of white space even though it annoys me to have so much space. I'm one for filling the whole page with things. The colours I chose are cool and for texture I used crackle paint.
Feeling Sketchy Week 26
Nice View
This is the layout I did for the sketch this week. I've kept to the basic sketch and it fitted in quite nicely with the paper that I had chosen.

SKWAD September Sketch
a purrfect day
I did this layout for Jules sketch over at SKWAD. Everything is as per sketch with this one. Mackenzie went to Dreamworld for her birthday this year and patted the tiger cubs, before they got too big.

Feeling Sketchy Week 25
This is my card for Week 25. It is a triple side (don't know if that's the right description) because it opens out at the centre. The circle is only stuck on one side, hence the other side lifts and opens the card. I've kept to the original sketch, with probably a few minor changes. I can see the sketch, I just hope everyone else does.

Amazing Race Asia Challenge
For the Asia Challenge, we could choose either Japan, India or Russia and I chose Russia. The criteria for Russia is
1. A large title on the page
2. Use something long & horizontal eg. ribbon, paper strips, twine etc.
3. Use something one would find in a garden or park.
My title is large and I've used ribbon, paper, twine and ribbon mesh as my horizontal bits. As for things found in a park/garden, I've got flowers, a tree, leaves, birds, butterfly and a ladybird.
Amazing Race Detour 1
Isla's Kindy
Our first detour challenge on The Amazing Race, is to create a layout with either a postage stamp, envelop or hidden journalling. My blue paper has a postage stamp in the top left corner and I made an envelop to put my name tag, from Grandfriends Day, inside. I have covered all three.

FWAB September 2012
Memorable
FWAB's challenge this month is to add a memory file/storage pocket to the layout. Well this is mine. My storage pocket is just above the photo, and I named it "secret stuff ".I used the new Silver Elise flourish on this on, which I think just went well with the colours in Isla's jacket.

Scrapbook Boutique Challenge
Scrapbook Boutique have a new challenge this month and it's buttons, buttons & buttons. I've got 10 buttons on this card, don't think I've used that many in one project before. I've used 3 gold buttons with pearl centres, they're so nice. There are 7 flower buttons and I have covered the holes with rhinestones. They also have a bloghop going on, check it out.

Feeling Sketchy Week 24
This is my card for Feeling Sketchy's sketch this week. I did a boy's card and kept it quite simple and not a flower in sight. I turned the image and made it longer but everything else is per sketch.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race Stop 1
A Happy Little Vegemite
Our first stop in the Amazing Race is Australia. We had to do a layout using the following criteria:-
1. Aussie Slang - mine is in the title A Happy Little Vegemite or even in the journalling where I said he usually gets it from head to toe.
2. An Aussie Image - well I have the flag, a kookaburra, gum leaves and I even cut the vegemite logo off the label.
3. Border Punch or Scallops - I just put a scallop strip at the side.
My 2 Angels September Challenge
Boy's Day Out
My 2 Angels challenge this month is Black & White and one other colour. I decided to do this photo of my son and grandson, so I chose blue. I kept it fairly simple and used some of 2 Angels embellishments.
So Cold
So Cold
I did this layout for a sketch over at Scrapville for August/September. It's a bit hard to read the journalling around the photo, but it reads, "It was so cold in Toowoomba this night, the girls had their coat and scarf on, which is a rarity for them."

SKWAD Inspiration Callenge August
She's Perfect
I did this one for Jules Inspiration Challenge over at SKWAD. We had the colours petal pink, carnation pink, turquoise and bronze. I don't have much turquoise paper and well I'm not sure if the brownie colour is bronze or not but it's the closest I could get to it.

FWAB Winter Challenge August 2012
U No It's Chilly
This is my layout for FWAB's August challenge , which was a wintery theme. I used the Hot Pink Jasmine flourish, which is a gorgeous colour and it went so well with my feathers and Mia's coat.
She never wears a coat unless it's really cold or she's made to. That's why I wrote, U No It's Chilly when Mia wears a coat.

SFS & Charms Creations August Sketch
Little Devil
SFS are having a sketch this month, designed by Charmaine at Charms Creations. It can be put into the gallery at SFS and if we use an item from Charms Creations, it can be linked to the Charms blog.
Mine is the star.
SKWAD August Sketch
Grandma's Girl
This is the layout I did for Jules August sketch at Scrapbook Kits With A Difference. I don't normally do myself but this is probably one of the better photos of myself and I'm with Isla. I mixed and matched the colours and used some scraps of paper.
Feeling Sketchy Week 20
Feeling Sketchy Week 20 Sketch
This is my card for FS's week 20 sketch. It turned out quite nice and thinking of a sentiment is quite hard. I called it, For You, something different for a change so I suppose it can be given for any occasion.

Scrapville July/August Sketch
All Aboard
I did this layout for Scrapville's July/August Sketch challenge. It was a rushed one as I only decided yesterday to do it. I'm happy with my colour scheme and I like how the layout turned out. The title should be at the top but I put it at the bottom.
